Cook together metwurst and cabbage with a generous
amount of water for ½ hour
Add onion, potatoes, carrots and cabbage.
When vegetables are done, add salt and pepper.
If desired, you can add dumplings to this soup:
2 eggs and 1 T water
beaten. Add flour to make it stiff and drop spoonfuls into the boiling
soup to cook the dumplings.
